The Church as the Expression of the Triune God

Scripture reveals that God eternally exists as three distinct Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, united in essence, will, and purpose (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). This mystery of the Trinity is not merely abstract theology; it forms the pattern for both human identity and the design of the Church. Humanity: A Reflection of the Triune God Just as God is Triune, man was created with a triune structure, spirit, soul, and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23). This does not mean man is three persons, but that he is patterned to function in harmony, as God does. In the Trinity: The Father initiates and wills. The Son obeys and fulfills. The Holy Spirit manifests and applies. In man: The spirit receives and discerns divine will. The soul (mind, emotion, will) processes and responds.
